About me
My name is Charlotte, and I’ve been working with clay for over 30 years – but my love for pottery began long before qualifications or job titles.
I first touched clay at school and loved it. Since then, I’ve completed a GCSE , followed by a BTEC in ceramics, then a BA(Hons) in Glass and Ceramics. I completed a PGCE in Art and Design, and have taught in schools for many years, in the UK and abroad. I love sharing the joy of pottery making with people of all ages.
More recently, I completed an MSc in Psychology, which deepened my interest in using pottery as a therapeutic outlet.
The name Boudica Pottery is a tribute to strength, creativity and resilience. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned maker, I hope you’ll find the studio a warm, empowering space to explore your creativity at your own pace.
Specialism and approach
One of my specialities is working with children, teenagers and individuals on the autistic spectrum. Creating a safe, welcoming space where people feel free to explore at their own pace is at the heart of what I do.
At Boudica Pottery, I’m able to combine teaching and helping people to explore their creativity. I teach both hand-building and throwing, along with continuing to develop my own work whilst teaching.
My aim is always to create a friendly, positive learning environment where people can relax, enjoy being creative and, hopefully, have fun too.
